I really thought the Flyers would at least improve this year and be in the running for the playoffs. This is pathetic. My prediction is that Lavy is gone by the weekend, but I don't know who replaces him.

I know that it looks like the fans of the Flyers are overreacting, but we are seeing the same problems as last year, and if you factor in the preseason, we are 1 and 10. We can all see the talent on the team, but they are not even interesting to watch. 3 goals in 3 games and I will tell you.. the tenders have been solid if not the last two games would have been ugly.

3 games. 2 goals scored. One game we allowed 45 shots.

The one thing we have going for us is the amount of young players we have. Girgensons, Grigorenko and Ristolainen are all under 20 years old.

Absolutely. Only 2 goals over 9 periods, and neither were anything too special. PP is absolutely stagnant at somewhere around 0/16, passing is completely useless, and our defenders are leaving our goaltenders out to dry just like last year. It's just UGLY. We would've lost by 4+ in each of our games if it weren't for Miller and Enroth.

Miller looked great vs Ottawa from what I saw..If it's a real bad year, at least you can get a boatload for Vanek if you want.

This is correct. For the Flyers, if it continues to go south, we will have a new coach this week and a new GM at the end of the year assuming no playoffs.

Every team out there that passed on Miller was just setting themselves up for disappointment...
Philly, Colorado, Edmonton, NY Isles...
All will miss the playoffs
And teams like Washington, San Jose, Pittsburgh, and others that needed a goaltending upgrade will again disappoint when it comes playoff time

I'm sure Darcy is still demanding a good return for Miller,
But if some team can get him to agree to an extension as part of the trade I think he'll be more than worth it
